MRA Camp |
|
The curriculum at SIIB tries to encompass every aspect of life. To augment the emotional intelligence, students were sent on a four-day camp at the Moral Re-Armament (MRA) at the Asia Plateau, Panchgani,
now renamed as Initiatives Of Change where the participants were encouraged to introspect and
re-look at themselves and aim for better
interpersonal relations. IOC
stands for the spiritual refuge where turmoils, trials, tribulations, tensions and anxieties tend to disappear and you are in a spiritual habitat of peace, purity and selflessness.
Here the whiffs of breeze flowing through a medley of trees, plants and flowers are a panacea for all worldly ills, ailments and afflictions. The people are motivated to bring a change within society, starting with themselves.
One of the key result areas of the camp is the ability to take responsibility for one's actions. Other soft-skills that are subtly enhanced are team-working abilities, interpersonal skills and a sense of social responsibility.
"Be the change you want to see in the world "- M. K. Gandhi : This was the motive for Initiatives
of Change. Even a single positive change in oneself enables us to make a difference.
