International Affiliations

SIIB has developed affiliations with International Universities for the purpose of faculty and student exchange programmes and research.

In order to enhance a global vision amongst the budding managers in our institute, we have developed affiliations with international universities - Bremen University (Germany) and Oakland University (USA) - for the purpose of faculty and student exchange programmes.

An annual feature of our International Business programme is a visit to the Bremen University for four weeks during summer, where select students are exposed to international business practices in Europe.

As a part of our tie-up with Oakland University - School of Administration at Michigan, USA, faculty from both the institutions have conducted full-fledged courses on a reciprocal basis.
A student exchange programme is also a part of this tie - up.

SIIB imparts a world vision to its students of International Business and Agribusiness Management. Small wonder then, that blue chip companies vie with one another to recruit SIIB students unfailingly year after year. Without doubt, the true test of a business school that strives to create a special breed of world movers.

Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Sciences

The one-month summer school at Hochschule Bremen, University of Applied Sciences, Germany is an annual programme. About 20 students are selected by SIIB and the visit is scheduled from mid-June to mid-July.

The visit to Bremen, Germany is a structured academic activity. Lectures are held everyday and many leading personalities come to educate the students on various topics. The course structure  is basically as follows:

  • International Economics
  • Industries & Markets
  • Business Strategy & Project Management
  •  Logistics
  • Sustainable Enterprise Management

In addition to the lectures and intensive course work, students are taken on a guided historical cultural tour of the town center and cathedral. Visits to industries like Airbus, Daimler Chrysler and Bremen Cotton Exchange etc. are complemented with visits to the Bremen Industrial Harbour and the World Trade Centre. The exposure to this fine city, its food, culture, tradition and the wonderful people make the trip to Bremen a truly memorable one.

The trip also involves travel to other fascinating cites within Europe including Hamburg, Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Being an International Business Institute, this programme is extremely beneficial for our students, as they get a chance to have a first-hand experience of global trade practices through the course of the programmme, as also from the various field visits such as the Hamburg Port, a major gateway to the region.
