Report Batch of 2006-08 SIIB
witnessed yet another wonderful placement season this year! At SIIB, we
believe in constantly breaking previous records and every year, we set the
benchmark even higher. We grow by simply going beyond past records.
Placement 2008 proves this! The campus recruitment process for MBA International Business [IB] and MBA Agri Business [AB] started on Monday, 10th December 2007 at 8:30 a.m and came to an end on Tuesday, 11th December 2007 at 4:30 p.m The
nerve wracking Day Zero was outstanding, since 160 out of the total
of 170 students, were placed on that day! Lateral placements
were also held along with the placement of freshers. Several
new recruiters joined the regular recruiters at SIIB this year; the new
companies for MBA IB included Adventity, Standard Chartered Bank,
Citibank, PriceWaterHouse Coopers, among others.SKS Microfinance was a new
recruiter for MBA AB. Past recruiters of the MBA AB course, from various sectors, once again showed that this nascent course had made a place for itself in the corporate world. SIIB alumni working in some of the best organizations in the country like Price Waterhouse Coopers, Citibank etc were instrumental in bringing their organizations to SIIB for the first time. Lateral
placements were also handled on the days of final placements along with
the regular placements. Students from various backgrounds got plenty of
choices to select their desired company. Few companies participated in the
selection process specifically for students with work experience. Placement
for the Class of 2008 at Symbiosis Institute of International
Business (SIIB) was a resounding success. The placement week
was in December 2007, and in this period, 125
students of MBA - IB were placed in 42
companies. Similarly, 45
students of MBA - AB program were placed in 11
