The orientation programme for Batch 2022-24 commenced from 7th June 2022. Post pandemic period after a gap of two years of online engagements, luckily this time the event was held in a physical mode more motivating, enthusiastic and joyful.
Numerous eminent speakers from the industry and also our esteemed alumni were invited as guests to grace the event and participate by sharing their invaluable thoughts and professional experiences as part of the induction programme for the new batch.

Mr Nulkar initiated the session highlighting the importance of ‘communication as a skill’ focusing upon three elements such as “hearing”, “listening”, and “active listening” which plays an important role in one’s career progress and employability. He also stressed upon the role of accent, pitch tone and rate of speech in language and communication.
Mr Arun Bhanumurthy encouraged students to embrace current situations and make decisions accordingly. He stated stated fear could fuel one’s achievements and also provide enormous strength to face challenges ahead. He emphasised on the importance of building the right team, task prioritization, disciplined approach and its crucial role in achieving progress in the corporate demeanour.
Mr. Mukesh Malhotra while interconnecting all three specialization programmes, i.e. International Business, Agribusiness, and Energy & Environment, discussed the importance of sustainability and related outcomes of International Trade for a nation. He compared and contrasted different aspects of international business focusing upon topics such as trade laws, export and import, climate change, and international trade that has impact on business quality, peace, and international relations.
Mr. Abhijat Shukla shared his thoughts about ‘Consultancy’ and worldly perceptions of ‘what do consultants do?’ He highlighted that such a role involves the skill of capturing, storing and analysing data that is of utmost importance and its influence on the marketplace. He also discussed emerging trends about ‘Mega trends in data analytics’ and how Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) are increasingly becoming data hubs.
Mr. Abhijeet Ranade shared his professional experiences and knowledge gained while working in various multinational consulting firms and departments involving Strategy Development and Execution, Implementation of Sales and Marketing Strategies, Supply Chain, IT and Finance Outsourcing and Shared Devices. He also emphasised the ‘Balance of Emotional Quotient and Intellectual Quotient’ in life, mentioning the 5Cs required to stand apart in a premier consulting firm- Context, Clarity, Conviction, Content and Conduct.
Ms. Rujuta Jagtap shared experiences of her successful four-year successful career at Tata Steel company involving tasks relating to domestic sales. She shared insights about several difficulties faced in the manufacturing sector involving mobility, flexibility and stress upon entrepreneurs and digitalisation faced in every emerging field. She encouraged students to focus upon values for every single task, vibrant personality with a multi-tasking nature, good attitude, quality of being a team player, and relationship building as core pillars of achieving a successful corporate life. She also discussed about the role of women’s leadership, women in modern day businesses and co-existence in today’s society.
