Participants – 250+

On June 7, 2024, SIIB organized an outbound session for the batch of 2024-26 at Surya Shibir. The two-day trip was highly anticipated, with students eagerly awaiting the various activities planned. The adventure began at six in the morning when all the students gathered at the SIC campus. It was a beautiful day with light rain, chilly winds, and picturesque scenery. The journey was filled with music, dancing, and singing, setting an energetic tone for the trip.

Upon reaching Surya Shibir, the students gathered for breakfast, which was followed by an energetic Zumba session, yoga, and fun group activities. After lunch, the students were divided into different groups and assigned various activities, including a creative egg activity where they designed a capsule to protect an egg from a two-story drop using provided materials like straws, cardboard, and staplers. The day concluded with a DJ night after dinner, allowing students to relax and enjoy themselves.

The next morning, on June 8, the students embarked on a six-kilometer trek, starting at 6:30 AM and returning by 10:30 AM. Despite the challenges of the wet, slippery terrain and some minor injuries, the students completed the trek with determination and mutual support. After the trek, a fun fashion show activity was organized, where students used natural materials like leaves, stems, and flowers to create outfits. The students showcased their creativity by dressing up as characters like a polluted Aquaman and a tribal man, and they educated their peers on important environmental topics.

In conclusion, these two days helped the students engage with each other in various group activities and create unforgettable memories. The students will carry these memories with them throughout their two-year MBA programme and beyond.
