Synopsis:
On 6th July 2021, the new batch of 2021-23 attended session by Mr. Abhijit Duragkar. He gave a wonderful lecture on various challenges which are faced in Agri supply in the present scenario. He mentioned about various components of the Agri supply chain and how they are affected.
Mr. Duragkar also elaborated on the various stakeholders and the different opportunities and challenges in this sector some of which were: procurement, logistic management, warehousing, etc. Further, Mr. Duragkar also briefed the students about the various challenges in this sector especially in developing countries like India some of which were improper post-harvest management, lack of storage facilities, poor transportation facilities, wastages from the field etc.
The session concluded with an interactive Q & A session.
