Synopsis:
On 2nd July 2021, the new batch of 2021-2023 attended a Guest lecture by Mr. Shivram Apte. Mr. Apte shared great insights about the book “Snapshots from Hell” and suggested all students to read the book. Mr. Apte said that there is no right answer to any problem in management studies but you should be prepared with solutions in your corporate life.
Further, he spoke about “What makes an MBA program good” using a 3 circle Venn diagram and asked students what according to them was the most important aspect of an MBA program that differentiates it from an undergraduate program. Mr. Apte gave an insight of how companies hire an individual just by looking at 3 qualities- knowledge of the subject, communication skills to transfer the knowledge, ability to make sessions fun and engaging.
He combined the knowledge of subject and communication skills to transfer and spoke about how this could help in creating respect amongst individuals. He also spoke about how one could combine communication skills to deliver fun and engaging sessions.
The session concluded with an interactive Q & A session.
