Ms. Foumy Nuchian is a Teaching Associate at the Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. With a strong interdisciplinary background in Agricultural Extension and Communication and Human Resource Management.
She is pursuing PhD in Human Resource Management from Sri Balaji University, Pune. She holds an MBA in Human Resource Management from Manipal University, Jaipur and an M.Sc. in Agricultural Extension and Communication from Tamil Nadu Agricultural University. With 3.5 years of academic experience as an Assistant Professor in Agri-Business Management, she brings a people-centric and analytically grounded approach to teaching, research, and academic engagement. Her scholarly contributions include 8 publications in NAAS-rated journals, 1 Scopus-indexed article, 5 UGC CARE-listed journal publications and 2 book chapters in the field of Agriculture. She has also received the Best Oral Presentation Award at a national-level conference. Foumy has hands-on experience in research design, field surveys, and quantitative data analysis using SPSS, and has undertaken impactful studies including livelihood analyses of tribal communities and research on transitions toward organic farming practices. Multilingual and proficient in academic writing and presentation, she is keen to engage in interdisciplinary research collaborations and contribute to teaching, policy-relevant research, and capacity-building initiatives across the agriculture and management domains.
