On 10th of July, 2025, the Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB) proudly celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day with cheer and high-spirits on campus with the presence of honored guests, faculty members and students. The joyous occasion also coincided with Guru Purnima, adding a sense of gratitude, growth, and introspection. The event began with the Lighting of the Lamp by our honored guest Pt. Arvindkumar Azad, Dr. Alka Maurya, Director, SIIB, Mr. Dipen Paul, Deputy Director, SIIB and Mr. Yogesh Kalbhor, Administrative Officer, SIIB representing the light of knowledge dispelling the darkness of ignorance.

Following this, Dr. Alka Maurya, Director, SIIB, gave a motivational speech emphasizing the rich heritage of the institution, visionary path, and enriching values. She recognized the four pillars of SIIB’s foundation- its founders, students, alumni, and faculty, and celebrated its innovative evolution from establishing the flagship International Business program in 1992 to creating Sustainability Management in 2025.

The grand attraction of the festivity was a soul-stirring musical rendition by our esteemed guests who took the center stage by storm with their presence and grand talent. The performance began by Mr. Aniruddha Deshpande, Mr. Sourabh Gulavani, Mr. Sandipan Mukherjee and Mr. Ruturaj Dhupak, on the Tabla and Harmonium, followed by Mr. Amit Vishwakarma, who infused a rhythmic richness with his playing of the Dholak. A major highlight was the presence of renowned Tabla Maestro Pt. Arvind Kumar Azad ji and and his team, and eminent flautist Dr. Amar Oak, whose captivating performances mesmerized the audience. Together they stunned the audience with the virtuosic rendering on the Tabla along with the Flute recital which lent a peaceful and melodious magic to the ambiance.

The 33rd Foundation Day celebration was a heartwarming tribute to SIIB’s rich legacy and evolving journey. It reflected the institute’s enduring values, vibrant spirit, and inclusive culture. It successfully honored the past, celebrated the present, and envisioned a future shaped by knowledge, purpose, and community.
