Stepping Out Day for Batch 2021-23

Symbiosis Institute of International Business (SIIB), Pune organized the “Stepping out Day” on March 24, 2023 to celebrate the successful completion of MBA programme 2021-23 (International Business, Agri-Business, and Energy and Environment). Mr. Abhijeet Ranade, Partner- Management Consulting, KPMG, graced the event by his presence. 

The event began with the lighting of the lamp ceremony to represent a beam of optimism and brightness in the students. Dr. Asmita Chitnis, Director SIIB, felicitated the chief guest for the day, Mr. Abhijeet Ranade. Dr. Prakash Rao, Deputy Director, SIIB, also addressed the audience by highlighting the facts of the real world and the power of positivity. He further discussed the importance of self-care and advised the students to stay close and connected to nature. Going further, faculty members of SIIB wished all the students, good luck for stepping out into corporate world and also gave them some insightful thoughts to move ahead in life. Student’s from the senior batch 2021-23 also shared some beautiful moments they spent at SIIB, which they will cherish forever. 

The event was moved forward with felicitation of trophies and prizes to the meritorious students in different areas of Management. Ankit Aich was presented with the award of academic excellence in Marketing. Shrusti Hiren Mehta was presented with the award of academic excellence in Finance. Krishna Kumar Gupta won the Teamwork Global Logistics Award for academic excellence in Supply Chain Management. Debaditya Banerjee was presented with the award of academic excellence in Human Resource, Ruchi Dahiya won the Teamwork Global Logistics award for academic excellence in Agri Business and lastly, Bagal Pritam Bhausaheb won the Teamwork Global Logistics award for academic excellence in Energy and Environment. Post that, the prizes were also distributed to the winners of sports teams of SIIB students. The prize distribution ceremony was followed by the oath-taking ceremony, in which senior student delegated the responsibility of different clubs of SIIB to the junior committee members as a legacy. 

The event proceeded with motivational remarks from Mr. Abhijeet Ranade, who addressed the students and shared his corporate journey after graduating from SIIB. He spoke about the industry’s expectations and future scope of management education. He also talked about making the best use of every opportunity while deciding the purpose of life wisely. He further guided the students on how to link the attitude, aptitude, and skills to achieve goals and passion of life. Mr. Ranade concluded his speech by sharing the importance of physical health for everyone and advised the students to face any challenge with positivity and smile.  

Following the address of chief guest, Dr. Asmita Chitnis, congratulated the graduating batch and guided the students to be true to themselves and be ethical in their approaches throughout their life. She also encouraged the students to work hard to achieve their goals. The event was culminated with a heartfelt vote of thanks to the chief guest and best wished to the graduating batch by Dr. Prakash Rao.
