Synopsis:

On 3rd July 2021, the new batch of 2021 – 23 attended a Guest lecture by Mr. Jivesh Govil. Mr. Govil engagingly started his presentation by asking students what MBA means to them.

Further, the students were enlightened on “How to maximize learning from MBA”. Students learned the concept of leadership in the 21st century from an excellent Ted-talk by Roselinde Torres. Mr. Govil also presented glimpses of another famous Ted-talk by Amy Cuddy on the importance of body postures with the famous tagline “Fake it till you make it”.

Towards the end of the session, Mr. Govil suggested 4 books to cope with the competitive world which were: ‘How to develop self-confidence & influence people by public speaking’ by Dale Carnegie, ‘Value guide to the Case Interview’, Harvard Business Review on ‘Becoming a high-performance manager’ and ‘How will you measure your life’ by Clayton M. Christensen.

The session concluded with an interactive Q & A session.
