Dr. Ganesh Valiachi is an Assistant Professor in International Business at SIIB, Symbiosis International (Deemed University), Pune. He has cross-sectoral experience spanning academia, policy research, and industry. He was previously with Sathyabama University, Chennai, as an Assistant Professor, and prior to that, served as Research Staff at IIM Trichy on an RBI-funded project on unclaimed deposits in urban cooperative banks. He holds a Ph.D. from Alagappa University on the impact of GST and Demonetization on India’s leather exports. He has three publications (two Scopus-indexed), writes op-eds for The Hindu Business Line and ET Government, and has received multiple awards, including the Indian Economic Association’s Young Economist Award. He also has experience in the financial sector, with expertise in financial operations and wholesale banking.
